Taeyun Paik is a creative director and storyteller exploring the intersections of cities, culture, design, and branding.

He spent his childhood in Rome, absorbing diverse cultural sensibilities, studied Architecture at the University of Illinois, and later earned his MA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London, developing both spatial thinking and visual language.

Having worked across Seoul, London, Sydney, and Singapore with global companies, he has spent years observing how urban lifestyles, brand worlds, and cultural behaviors shape one another.

Early in his career, he worked as a designer, strategist, and branding consultant.
He later became the only Korean member of Google APAC’s creative think tank, The ZOO, where he led projects that combined technology, brand thinking, and cultural insights to drive digital transformation and marketing innovation for global companies.

He then joined Netflix’s APAC Product organization as an early leader, designing how audiences around the world first encounter titles from Korea, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. His work helped global viewers engage with these stories without cultural barriers or preconceptions, playing a part in the rise of Asian works, such as Squid Game, within the global mainstream. He focused on shaping title experiences that felt more intentional, personal, and culturally resonant for members.

All of these experiences converge into a single, enduring question:
“How can we explain Korea to the world with greater authenticity and clarity?”
A question seeded during his years in Rome, and now the foundation of Kosmosis.

His interests are broad yet tightly connected:
• Urbanism and Korean residential life
• Contemporary design and craftsmanship
• The relationship between national identity and branding
• Everyday sensibilities and Korean emotional aesthetics
• How K-culture is reinterpreted in a global context

Through Kosmosis, he continues building new language to express today’s Korea to the world.
